What Are Electrolytes & Why Do You Need Them? 

Electrolytes are minerals that allow your body to maintain important functions, such as muscle contraction and heartbeat regulation. Electrolytes exist in your bodily fluids and are lost on a regular basis through sweat, urination and breathing. The primary electrolytes that are lost on a Keto or low carb diet are Sodium, Magnesium, Calcium and Potassium.
